These terms of business set out the basis on which we will provide business services to you as a customer of WorldNomads.com

Our Status

  • WorldNomads.com is a trading name of World Nomads Limited (05443592) of 27-28 Eastcastle Street, London, W1W 8DH, United Kingdom. World Nomads Limited is a wholly owned subsidiary of The World Nomads Group Holdings Pty Limited, a company registered in Australia.
  • World Nomads Limited is an Insurance Intermediary and is an Appointed Representative of Millstream Underwriting Limited 52-56 Leadenhall Street, London, EC3A 2DX, United Kingdom who are authorised and regulated by the United Kingdom Financial Conduct Authority, (FCA number 308584). Our permitted business is arranging general insurance contracts
  • World Nomads Limited and Millstream Underwriting Limited are listed by the Irish Financial Regulator under the Insurance Mediation Directive as passported entities in Ireland. Our Services

  • The Services which we provide are receiving and transmitting orders on your behalf for general insurance products produced by Millstream Underwriting Limited on behalf of AWP P&C SA and IPP on behalf of certain underwriters at Lloyds. In order to provide these services we hold appointments in writing from Millstream Underwriting Limited.
  • You will not receive advice or a recommendation from us. We will ask some questions to narrow down the selection of products that we will provide details on. You will then need to make your own choice about how to proceed.

Our Charges

  • World Nomads Limited will request and accept payment only where it has accepted a proposal for insurance from a client either manually or electronically.

Our Remuneration

  • World Nomads Limited receives commission from the product producer with whom we arrange insurance products

Conflicts of Interest

  • It is the policy of the firm to avoid any conflict of interest when providing business services to its clients. However, where an unavoidable conflict of interest arises we will advise you of the steps we propose to take in order to protect your interests before providing you with any business service.

Default Remedies

  • All insurance products are arranged on the express condition that pending receipt of the premium from you, World Nomads Limited reserve the right, notwithstanding delivery of a policy, Insurance certificate or receipt to you, to cancel the policy, obtain a refund from the product producer and apply same in reduction of the amount due from you. World Nomads Limited will, if necessary, exercise its legal rights to receive any payment due to it from its clients for business services provided by it and to be reimbursed for any value obtained for clients.
  • Millstream Underwriting Limited may withdraw benefits or cover on default of any payment due under any products arranged for your benefit or on failure by you to accurately provide all material information in relation to such insurance products.

Default by this firm

  • In the unlikely event that we cannot meet our liabilities to you, any monies paid by you to us for an insurance product are deemed to be accepted by the Insurer, AWP P&C SA.
  • World Nomads Limited is an appointed representative of Millstream Underwriting Limited and you are covered by the UK Financial Services Compensation Scheme (FSCS). You may be entitled to compensation from the FSCS if we cannot meet our obligations. This depends on the type of business and the circumstances of the claim. Further information about compensation scheme arrangements is available from the FSCS. Your legal rights against the firm are not affected by this scheme.

Complaints

  • Any complaint that you may have in relation to the business services provided by us (insurance claims issues, should follow the complaints procedure stated in the policy wording from which you are making a claim), should be made in writing to us, outlining the nature of your complaint. Any such complaint will be acknowledged within 14 days. The complaint will be fully investigated by World Nomads Limited and/or Millstream Underwriting Limited. We will aim to provide this response not later than 8 weeks from receipt of your complaint. In the event that you remain dissatisfied with our handling and response to your complaint you are entitled to refer your complaint to The Irish Financial Services Ombudsman.

Governing Law

  • This agreement is subject to Irish Law and the Irish Courts will have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute.
